EAACI Thematic Month on Functional Genomics & Proteomics IG
The new EAACI Website feature “Thematic Month”, continues this month with a special report on the EAACI Interest Group on Functional Genomics & Proteomics. The higlight of the IG's activities is the workshop in FGP that takes place in Aspenäs, Sweden from 8-11 May, 2008. Apart from that, recommendations, allergy projects and other events are also promoted through Thematic Month, aiming to familiarize all eaaci visitors with the activities, aims and scopes of the Sections and Interests Groups, and invite them to take actively part to any of the groups that they find compatible to their needs and work field.
PRACTALL on Pediatric Asthma: The first international consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric asthma
Consensus on pediatric asthma has been a major unmet need. The Pediatric Asthma PRACTALL, an initiative of EAACI and AAAAI, has now been developed by more than 40 experts in order to present optimal strategies for the management of asthma in children. PRACTALL uses simple algorithms to categorize pediatric asthma phenotypes and propose treatment in a practical, straightforward way. Open Call for EAACI Public Website Editor
A new post involving the EAACI website is now open! The EAACI Web Development Team is seeking for an editor in the context of a new EAACI website section develpment, addressing to patients and consumers in the field of allergy, asthma and immunology. The position will be appointed by the Web Committee on a voluntary basis and will involve the development, regular update and web content management of this new section. 2008 EAACI Allergy Schools
High-level science by leading clinicians and researchers in a summer/autumn setting are among the main characteristics of the EAACI Alllergy Schools for 2008. The journey starts from Porto Heli, 27-30 June, goes to Venice, 5-8 July, moves up to Tbilisi, 29 Aug. to 1st Sept. with a last stop in London, 25-28 November.
