I studied Medicine in Madrid at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain (Hospital La Paz). I´m a consultant specialist in Allergology since May 2010 performing medical and several research activities during my residency at Hospital Ramón y Cajal (Madrid, Spain). I obtained the Advanced Studies Diploma and Investigation Sufficiency with distinction at Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (2009) presenting the project named “Impact of Food Allergy in Quality of Life”. I´ve been involved in research projects related with quality of life in allergic patients, monoclonal antibodies treatment in allergy, severe drug reactions follow-up and Eosinophilic Esophagitis assessment. My thesis deals with the impact in quality of life in food allergic patients. This project is currently conducted in collaboration with several Hospitals in Madrid and related with Europrevall Project.
Then I worked as a consultant specialist in several Hospitals in Madrid: Hospital Universitario de Fuenlabrada, Hospital Sur Alcorcón, Hospital Infanta Elena and also at Hospital Ramón y Cajal. Presently I work as a consultant specialist in Allergology at Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid) where I participate actively in Hymenoptera Venom hypersensitivity assessment and collaborating in the follow-up of severe atopic-dermatitis and uncontrolled asthma patients. I am a PhD student at the Department of Medicine in Universidad de Alcalá de Henares.
My main research interests focus on Hymenoptera Venom Allergy, Component-Resolved Diagnosis, quality of life in allergic patients, Eosinophilic Esophagitis and novel treatments in allergy.
At the present time I’m co-coordinator at Madrid Area of the JMA Section of the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology.
I became member of EAACI in 2008 and have profoundly participated in all EAACI congresses and diverse EAACI activities since then.
