Report from Allergy School in Athens
EAACI-GA2LEN offered once again a high-level education by experts in the field of Allergy.  The 5th EAACI-GA2LEN Allergy School which took place in Athens, Greece on the 25th - 28th of June 2010 has finished.  This year's theme was "Allergy in Different Systems 2010".  Any attendant had the opportunity to interact with world experts, pioneers in the field of Allergy and go deep into the systemic nature of allergic diseases.  Click here to read the most of the educational material!

EAACI Thematic Month in Aerobiology & Air Pollution
This June, EAACI's Thematic Month focuses on Aerobiology and Air Pollution.  Allergy is an environmental disease by definition and pollen, spores and air pollutants are playing a key role in the development and clinical aspects of allergic diseases. Environmental studies had a tremendous development in the last decade for several reasons.  First of all studies on climate change raised the issue of the relationship between the environment and human health; for example, there is a link between the effects of climate change on plants and possible consequences on allergic diseases.  New technologies allow a new approach in aerobiology, making now possible the measurement of the allergenic load i.e. the allergen content of pollen.

PhARF 2010 Award
This year, the PhaRF 2010 Award was split and the two winners shared the prize!  Dr. Nikolaos Papadopoulos & Dr. Christopher Kepley are the two winners of the PhARF 2010 Award!  PhARF (Phadia Allergy Research Forum) is a collaboration between Uppsala University and Phadia AB.

Franz Marrache was born in Casablancea (Morocco) on December 7th - 1928 within the Jewish moroccan community.  His origins will explain his qualities of welcoming, open-mindedness and also of fighting spirit.  He was a bright pupil, as well in the field of literature as in philosophy or science.

New interface website of ALLERGY & PAI
Wiley-Blackwell launches a new online product delivery website, Wiley Online Library, which will replace the current website, Wiley InterScience. We invite you to implement and test journal access links that will be used to deliver journal access to the members and patrons from EAACI's website.
